Tell me your story
Again
And again
Until I hear it
Just as you need to hear it
Paint me your story
In broad, sweeping strokes
With colors
Bold and sharp
Muted and dull
Distinctive and blurred
Paint me your story
In minute strokes
With colors
That refuse to cover up
The bits and pieces
That you want to hide
There is no shame
In telling me your story
Again
And again
As many times as it takes
Until I hear it
Just as you need to hear it
My ears are open
As is my heart
But my mouth is closed
Your story is safe
So paint me your story
And together
We will heal the brokenness
And maybe,
Just maybe
The world will also know
There is hope
I love this more than you can ever know. I want to see your story too my friend!

This is a wonderful example of what I mean when I share this quote.
I’m sharing this everywhere. I believe this with every fiber. Yes, I continue to be an idealist.
‘If we could look into each other’s hearts and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care.’
